Ethiopian Airlines Adds Two African Destinations: Mozambique and Central African Republic

Ethiopian Airlines on Friday launched service to Maputo, Mozambique and Bangui, Central African Republic, according to the airline. Anyone will have access to the two African capital cities by traveling through the airline's hub in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The airline plans to run three flights per week to Maputo from Addis Ababa and four weekly flights to Bangui from the hub city. Ethiopian Airlines now serves 60 destinations across the world and 39 within Africa. The company's strategy is to link major African cities with the rest of the globe.

Air Mozambique will code share the Addis Ababa-to-Maputo route with Ethiopian Airlines. The two companies are planning on expanding their code share to other routes in the future, according to the Ethiopia Airlines release.
